the voice work
a mind-body-spirit approach to voice and song
the voice work:
finds us as we are
calls on the whole of our being and becoming
blends heart with technique for rooted transformation and liberation
welcomes shame, fear, rage, grief & calls for embodiment, nourishment, curiosity, pleasure, courage, joy, peace, love
helps us feel, digest, alchemize, change in ways we want to, relate, care for ourselves and one another
lets singing matter, heal, create, shape
the voice teacher
i’m alison, a singer and a teacher, and i’m called to teach the voice work.
i’ve been a singer all my life, but i didn’t feel like a singer until i found the voice work, which i had been seeking all my life, and began practicing a decade ago. and my life has been richer in every way since.
i help people (fall in) love (with) their voices—spoken, sung, metaphorical. i work with singers, self-professed non-singers, speakers, and anyone who wants to explore and expand their relationship with their voice.
i believe that to work with the voice is to work with the self. and i believe that singing is for everyone and that our world is a better place when we’re singing.
i’ve trained as a singer and voice teacher with jonathan stancato of inside voice and the sing a secret workshop for the last decade.
i’ve trained with dr. carolyn elliott lovewell & faculty of the immortal college and i’m a certified existential kink coach.
i’ve trained with dr. robert dee mcdonald of the telos healing center and i’m a certified transpersonal destination method coach.
i studied theatre and music at a liberal arts college and attended a performing arts conservatory in high school.
i have experience with performance, life review work, spiralic journeying, somatic and energetic therapies, herbal crafting, astrology, mystery, magic, dreams, and ritual.
the voice client
you’re a singer. you’re a speaker.
you miss having a connection with your sound. you want to deepen your connection with your sound.
you’re a self-professed non-singer.
you’re afraid to sing and still you want to. you haven’t sung since you were a kid. you were once told never to sing again.
you’re a human being. you’re a seeker.
you’re longing to love your voice and your whole self. you want to live the life that is yours with each and every breath, speech, song, spell.
the voice work is for you. singing is for you. let me show you.
